Stephen H. Berry formed Vintage Capital in early 2002 with partner Craig Kelly. The purpose of the partnership was to allow Mr. Berry and Mr. Kelly to combine their knowledge and background in real estate with the many relationships they have developed over the years with both business and personal contacts interested in investing funds in commercial real estate projects.
Prior to forming Vintage Capital, Mr. Berry worked for The Hodges Companies, a closely held family business, as an investment manager helping oversee acquisition, disposition and ongoing management and operations of activities in three primary investment areas: agriculture, oil and gas and real estate. Before joining The Hodges Companies, Mr. Berry worked in the Dallas office of the corporate bank division of NationsBank, (now known as Bank of America) and prior to that worked for four years for the Trammell Crow Company in the Dallas Fort Worth office and retail divisions.
Berry currently serves as on the board of Streams and Valleys and the Region C Water Planning Resources Committee. Additionally, Mr. Berry is Vice-President and a board member of the Trinity Improvement Association, a group comprised of DFW leaders, whose purpose is to sponsor a coordinated program of improvement for the entire Trinity River Basin. Mr. Berry is actively involved with Fort Worth Country Day School and has served on the Advance Gifts Committee for the Capital Campaign as well as on the Alumni Council. Additionally, Mr. Berry is a member of Leadership Fort Worth, Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council, Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Mr. Berry received his Masters in Business Administration in 1992 from The University of Texas at Austin and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1984 with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics.
